TDB760 Volvo Security Dongle
The TDB760 is the perfect companion to the ASSET003 Volvo Key Programming software on the TDB1000
As Volvo Proximity Systems can take anything from 30mins to 19hours due to the slow communication speed on the KVM, leaving your tester connected is not always a viable option.
The TDB760 simply plugs to the OBD socket and runs the security access process standalone. The car can not be used during the process.
This saves you waiting with the vehicle and leaves you and your tester free to continue with the days work.
Once the security is found, it is stored in the memory of the dongle until placed on another vehicle.
A green solid light indicates security has been gained, you then simply connect the TDB1000 and continue to program keys.
PLEASE NOTE: The vehicle can not be driven whilst security is sought.

Q. Will the TDB760 work with other programmers?
A . No the TDB760 works exclusively with the TDB1000 & ASSET003 software
Q. Does the TDB760 work if all keys are lost?
A. Yes, the process for lost keys and spare keys is exactly the same.
Q. Why can does the time to gain security take so long and vary from 30mins to 19hours on the proximity system?
A. The diagnostic process to gain security on the proximity is longer as the speed the CAN BUS works on the system is almost a 1/4 of the speed of the transponder, so send / receive messages take much longer to process
Q. Due to the time it takes, is there a preferred method of using the device?
A. Many of our customers take a deposit to the value of the dongle. They then advise the customer to fit the dongle to the OBD and ensure the lights on both sides of the dongle are flashing red / green. Once the dongle has achieved 2 solid green lights, the locksmith then attends and carries out the programming process.
Q. If the dongle is unplugged before security is gained, will it remember the position or will it start over again
A. If no solid green lights are on, the dongle will start afresh.
Q. Once the green lights are solid, can the device be unplugged until I attend the vehicle.
A. Yes, as long as the device is not plugged into another vehicle it will remember the security. The customer can unplug the device and use the car.
Q. Is battery support required during the process
A. We always recommend the battery is support during any key programming procedure.
